We have a fantastic opportunity for a Learner Engagement Advisor to join our Employability team. At Babington we support people at all stages of their career to progress further. Whether it's getting a foot in the door or advancing into senior management were here to help. We offer apprenticeships and traineeships and have 12 centres across the UK. The role of our Service Support Team is to engage with learners on an Apprenticeship programme, promoting retention and monitoring learner satisfaction.

  • As a Learner Engagement Advisor, you will be responsible for achieving profiled learner engagements for all learning programmes within the department. Provide pastoral and additional support throughout the learner's journey.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Engage and support local school networks with accessing and onboarding learners to Babington's learning programmes Provide effective advice and guidance to potential learners, identifying aspirations whilst ensuring suitability and eligibility for programmes Manage and provide statistical data relating to engagement activities to other colleagues as required Engage with a local network of referral agencies to promote and advertise employability programmes Liaise with Employer Engagement Advisors to ensure suitable work placement opportunities are provided for learners Assist learners in the completion of internal documentation for enrolment and progression through their learning programmes Conduct and interpret detailed skills gap analysis with learners to accurately identify training needs, barriers to learning and required support Strengthen, expand and provide referral services to external support agencies for issues as such: childcare, benefits, sexual health and substance misuse etc Advocate Babington's learning programmes at appropriate career and job fairs, along with local community events and groups

  • Essential
  • Experience of working with young people to help to remove barriers and support progression into employment, education or training Ability to work within a target driven environment Experience of delivering high level of service and satisfaction Proven experience of successfully achieving deadlines and working without close supervision Experience of liaising with employers and external agencies
  • Desirable
  • Grade C GCSE or above in English and maths or a willingness to acquire Level 2 Certificate in Advice and Guidance or willingness to acquire Experience in recruitment, marketing or sales Experience of working with NEET cohorts
