International Manufacturer based in Bedfordshire seeks an experienced Technical Product Manager.
About the role:
Assisting the Sales Teams in delivering technical product information to customers so working collaboratively is key to achieve increased sales with profitable growth.
Understand specifier and client needs and requirements, the market trends and changes that may affect our business.
Duties may include:
Management of the UK product offer. Generate margin analysis data for new and existing product ranges.
Work closely with the BD Management team to determine launch of products.
Market sector research and analysis for position, price (including margin analysis), promotion and production/packaging including market sector competitor benchmarking.
Identification of strategic new product development needs with the aim to grow turnover and profit.
Producing unambiguous technical product specifications for training and literature.
Staff and customer training, including generation of approved Continuing Professional Development training media for architects and consulting engineers.
Provide support to the Marketing Department for technical literature and communications and exhibitions.
Provide support to the Product Development function.
Liaising with Product Managers throughout the Group. Identify specifying businesses and build technical and commercial relationships at all and experience:
Ideally have a background in construction industry. Working knowledge of specification sales techniques and installation techniques particularly building drainage products.
Have a background in the construction industry linked to specifiers, demonstrating understanding of sectors where products are.
Able to demonstrate technically complex products and design procedures to a diverse audience from site operatives to architects and engineers.
You will have an understanding of construction products, processes and procedures, in the UK market. Have a basic understanding of material and manufacturing technologies.
Possess solid theoretical knowledge of engineering principles.
Have the ability to read CAD and other design drawings.
Energetic with ability to learn and convey technical product information. Able to translate complex technical detail into everyday terminology.
Good presentation and organisation skills.
