This role is working with a Premium Supercar Brand, securing supply of automotive service and repair parts from a primarily UK and Europe and satisfying customers around the globe.
Reporting to the Supply Manager, the Automotive Vendor Account Manager is responsible for inventory management, forecasting, scheduling of delivery schedules to support the requirements of the Client's Aftersales retailers around the globe whilst minimising cost to the organisation and its clients.
Responsible for a range of suppliers and the product they supply.
To effectively expedite deliveries in a timely manner against schedule.
The ability to review and identify priorities within a varied workload
To manage processes with the supply base for the early identification, communication and mitigation of supply risk. Able to represent supply chain risks and opportunities at management reviews with senior management and the Client.
Ability to identify root causes for supply chain failures and implement countermeasure to resolve the immediate problem and avoid future occurrences.
To provide up to date ETAs for the client's retailers and drive quick resolution of backorders with a high level of communication to keep the retailers informed and allowing them to plan their repairs.
To use SAP and our bespoke forecasting and supplier management systems to balance demand and supply, creating a delivery plan which satisfies the customer demand.
Reduce obsolescence and inventory holding to company targets.
To be the key account owner for your assigned suppliers. Working with supplier contacts to ensure an effective, mutually beneficial, working relationship, able to escalate to a senior level within the supplier and the client to achieve our objectives. Communicating by phone, email and via in person / online meetings.
To adopt an approach of continuous improvement for both internal processes and supplier logistics quality with your suppliers.
End to end management of the parts lifecycle
To work with all partners in the supply chain to deliver excellent service, including parts technical, procurement, production, finance, warehousing and distribution and customer service.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Confident in dealing with stakeholders, both internally and externally, in ensuring the requirements of the department and wider business are met.
Experience and understanding of automotive supply chains and supplier manufacturing processes.
Highly developed relationship building skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and workstreams and prioritise workload. Must be structured and organised
