We are currently recruiting an experienced permanent Registered Nurse to join a medium size care home in Northallerton.

This is a permanent position consisting of 3 night shifts per week

The family run home which has a excellent reputation in the area provides a caring environment for people who require nursing care.

The candidate will add real value their passion and commitment to both residents, families and staff alike, but will have the ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment with care and compassion.


  • Responsible for ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care are being delivered at all times by undertaking accurate assessment and planning of care, delivery and ongoing evaluation of the care plans
    Observing and carrying out appropriate hand-overs to ensure the detail and accuracy of service user information being provided
    Commit to acting in line with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, maintaining registration requirements;
    Responsible for the overall management and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed in line with their job roles in an efficient and effective way, during the period of duty
    Carryout nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions. Maintain effective communications with residents, relatives and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that appropriate information is shared and the residents needs are met
    Manage own workload to ensure that the interests of residents are met;


  • All applicants must have a valid NMC registration and a valid PIN.
    You must have excellent communication and written skills and have previous experience working within a nursing home or elderly care setting.
    Self-motivated, resilient and well-organised, you will be a team player but also be required to work on your own initiative.
    You will be dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the home.
    As a key member of the team you will contribute to the leadership of the service engaging with Healthcare Assistants as well as the dedicated Nursing team within the home.
