The AICS Group specialises in providing community-based rehabilitation and support to clients who suffered from a brain injury.
AICS Group is looking for a Female Support Worker to work with our Female client who lives in Romford. This role provides immense job satisfaction within a busy and varied environment, working with a range of health and social care professionals.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Client: Our client sustained an Acquired Brain Injury in 2010, and presents with complex needs.
It would be preferable for the ideal candidate to have experience in working with Brain Injury and/ or clients who have sustained a neurological injury such as Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and /or has worked within an educational setting as a teaching assistant. The Support worker will need to be flexible, committed, energetic, motivated, and be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team with a range of skilled professionals and families.
The shift pattern is from 8 am to 8 pm or 8 am to 10 pm 7 days a week but may change in line with the client’s needs.
Saturday and Sunday= Day shift: 08:00 am to 8 pm or 8 am to 10 pm
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday= Night Shift: 08:00 pm to 8:00 am or 10 pm to 8 am

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Skills:
Minimum 1 years experience in health and social care, preferably with adults or children who have sustained a brain injury, a basic understanding of cognitive, emotional, and physical impairment, demonstrate the ability to relate respectfully to people with physical disabilities, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to liaise with other professionals daily, good planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills and be able to use initiative in a range of situations, ability to take a person-centered approach, experience in medication administration, personal care and manual handling.
Ability to think outside the box, facilitate ongoing, age-appropriate activities, learning, and support to clients in their home and in the community.
Desirable Skills:
Current and clean UK driver’s license, the experience of providing care to people living in the community
