Music Teacher 1 form entry primary school Parttime role 2 days per week Summer term SANZA Teaching Agency is currently working with a oneform entry primary school based in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea who is currently recruiting for a creative and inspiring Music Teacher to join their team. This role will begin the Easter break 2019 and will continue until the end of the academic year. You will be working two days per week as a music teacher across KS1 and KS2 during PPA time. There is an opportunity for a permanent post for September 2019 for the ideal candidate.

Teaching Responsibility and Key Tasks: To plan and teach stimulating and interesting learning based on the National Curriculum for Music. To be responsible for the ongoing review of the primary schools Music curriculum and related schemes of work. To support the development and ongoing review of the primary schools Music assessment procedures in liaison with class teachers. To work effectively to ensure that there is progression across the year groups. To take every opportunity of developing childrens basic social and educational skills and to assist in the development in their listening and speaking skills. To plan for a range of ability so that all children reach their potential. To lead and implement Music strategies throughout the school and to coordinate all music events including extracurricular, clubs and assembles. Classroom Management and Organisation: To teach and actively promote a system of Assertive Discipline. To follow the Schools Classroom Code that will create a wellordered, calm environment that is stimulating and purposeful. To ensure that all equipment is organised and accessible to children so that it encourages independent learning. To organise a learning environment. To maintain assessment records as specified in the Schools assessment schedule. To provide, mark and monitor homework according to the agreed schedule. *To manage Teaching Assistants in the music learning environment and to monitor tasks they are expected to undertake.
