Senior Claims Adjuster Building Guarantee

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Claims Adjuster to join an established team to manage a portfolio of building guarantee / builder warranty claims. This role is based from the office in central Leeds and you will be handling and resolving technical and complex claims with high exposure risks.


You will handle Building Guarantee claims within agreed authority levels and working to SLAs. Gather and analyse relevant information, applying knowledge and judgement to determine liability. Developing case strategy, including developing a case evaluation and escalating issues as appropriate. Liaise with all relevant parties to manage the claims process, such as the policyholder, witnesses, Insurers, repairers, solicitors, engineers, third party representatives, medical experts, forensic accountants, rehabilitation providers, case managers, investigators, medical agencies, costs draughtsmen, reinsurers, CRU, Counsel, police authorities and third parties. Negotiate claims settlement by establishing appropriate negotiation strategy.


You will have previous experience as a Building Surveyor or Claims Adjuster with experience of property, building guarantee / builder warranty. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Organise workload and meet tight deadlines. Strong investigation and negotiation skills. Work on own initiative. Communicate effectively in verbal and written format.
