We are a global healthcare / Biotechnology company specialising in the ongoing development and commercialisation of products targeting cancer, critical care and other disorders. We have recently launched two highly innovative injectable products onto the market that are groundbreaking in their ability to treat cancer and cure other disorders.

We currently have a requirement for a Senior QC Microbiologist to join our Quality Control department to cover a secondment for 6 months.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Support the operations team to deliver the customers requirements. Support the Quality Control Microbiology function and ensure the timely submission of test results for controlled products. Proactively keep up to date with developments within the field, including uptodate knowledge on regulations. Ensure operating procedures are always followed, in compliance with GMP. Maintain all documentation accurately. Leading, assigning and performing project work as required. Ensure that high standards for housekeeping, health and safety and ethics are adhered to. Insure that all work is carried out to a professional standard in line with the company values. Continuously strive for continuous improvement and suggest revised processes when necessary.

This is not an exhaustive list and other adhoc duties may be required within reason.

  • Education and Experience

BSc Degree in a Science (or related) discipline. Experience within microbiology, in a GMP environment. Previous experience within a microbiology laboratory. An understanding of quality systems and exposure tow working within a regulated environment. *Knowledge of GLP/GMP

  • Skills and Attributes
  • Good technical background with strong working knowledge of GMP & Regulatory understanding. Previous line management experience, capable of engaging with and motivating a multidisciplined team. Strong communication skills able to communicate at all levels. Able to work in a pressured environment, whilst managing multiple workloads.
    *Highly numerate with a keen eye for detail.
