We now have an excellent opportunity for a CNC Programmer/ Model Maker, to join our industry leading development hub based in our rapidly growing facility in Basingstoke.

Purpose of the CNC Programmer / Model Maker

It is expected that the incoming engineer and machinist team leader will work with our development hub and support the NPD team to make prototypes of advanced new products within the product pipeline. The post holder will be used to working in an agile and dynamic R&D environment liaising with design, application and manufacturing engineers. The post holder will be able to demonstrate high levels of competency developing proving CM programs using advanced CNC machine tools, including suitable selection and development of machining strategies to achieve tight tolerances that maybe be required requires.

The post holder is required to produce components and projects on time, to budget and within the company's quality system.

Requirements of the CNC Programmer / Model Maker

We are ideally looking for an experienced CNC programmer or model maker who is used to working in an agile and dynamic R&D environment liaising with design, application and manufacturing engineers. It would be beneficial to have experience working within a regulated industry, preferably medical, aerospace, automotive, marine or nuclear. We also welcome applications from CNC millers or machinists who can demonstrate the skills and ambition to progress into a programming or model making role.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate high levels of competency developing proving CM programs using advanced CNC machine tools, including suitable selection and development of machining strategies to achieve tight tolerances that maybe required. Ideally, we are also looking for experience of programming and proving out on multi axis turning / Mill-turning machines and of CMM programming and operation, however these are not essential.

Hours:

36.5 hours per week 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday (30 minute unpaid meal break) 08:30 or 13:00 Friday (no break)
