Materials Planning manager


£18 - £25 per hour


We are looking for an experienced Materials Planning Manager to manage inventory and purchasing procedures of raw materials and other supplies, including factored goods on an ongoing contract basis. Our client is a world leader in their field and offer an exciting opportunity.

  • The Materials Planning Manager will have experience in supply chain and inventory control. and have excellent organisational and recordkeeping skills. Attention to detail and problemsolving aptitude are qualities the ideal candidate must possess, as well as the ability to build trusting relationships with key supplier contacts.

  • The goal is to ensure that the operations team operations have always an adequate flow of the material they need:

  • Responsibilities

Collaborate with key stakeholders, particularly the Production Planning Manager, to determine supply needs. Purchase raw materials and factored goods according to business needs. Contribute to the sales and operations planning process in relation to materials supply. Control inventory levels and always ensure availability of material. Manage the activity and performance of the Materials Supply Chain CoOrdinator. Maintain relationships with suppliers, including supplier performance, annual reviews, and service level agreements. Keep detailed records on procurement activity, materials quantity, specifications etc. Assist in forecasting to plan future orders

The successful candidate fro the position of Materials Planning Manager will possess:

Proven experience as a Materials Planning Manager. Experience in supplier performance management. Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems Understanding of forecasting and budgeting Working knowledge of MRP Systems Proficient in MS Office Excellent organisational and leadership skills A problemsolver
