We are supporting our Birmingham based client in their search for an experienced Payroll Officer to join the business on a permanent basis, with indefinite home based working. You will be working as part of a successful payroll function and will be responsible for taking ownership of a payroll from start to finish for 800+ employees. My client is looking for a proactive candidate with a passion for payroll and demonstrable experience of working in a dynamic team environment.
Daily duties and experience required includes:
• Minimum of three years experience working as a Payroll Officer or similar level position
• Processing starters and leavers
• Calculating holiday and national insurance
• Query resolution
• Calculating SSP, SMP and SPP
• Pensions knowledge
• Manual calculations experience
• Up to date payroll legislation knowledge
