We have partnered up with a leading educational support trust who are looking for an experienced Human Resources Advisor to join their busy central team based in Northampton. The HR team is dedicated to supporting their clients and internal team providing a professional, effective, and responsive HR service.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to broaden their HR career as there is scope to contribute to a wide variety of activities including recruitment, first level advice and guidance on terms and conditions, contracts, policies, procedures, planning and organising meetings.

Your Duties:

To assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of HR processes
To focus on employee relations, compliance, and HR administration
To provide an efficient and effective Human Resources service for the Trust
To assist the Senior Workforce Planning and HR Business Partner with the smooth running of the Human Resources department
To support, when needed, on more complex employee relations casework
To support in the preparation and issue of employment offers, contracts of employment and contract amendments
Preparation of confidential letters, contracts and reports for the CEO
Take part in Performance Management procedures
Accurate minute taking of confidential meetings as requested
HR system implementation across the Trust to ensure access to HR information
Ensure that records of attendance, leave of absence and annual leave are maintained
Keep up to date training records for all employees
Ensure Return to Work meetings are completed promptly
To always maintain confidentiality and discretion

The ideal candidate:

Experience working in a busy HR team
Achieved GCSEs in English and Maths (minimum level 4 or grade C pass)
Foundation level (level 3) CIPD qualification or equivalent qualification (Desirable)
Motivated to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
Have a professional manner, be organised and have a good attention to detail
Experience of using MS Office.
Previous experience of working in an Trust/School or knowledge of HR in schools and current safeguarding regulations (Desirable)
High level of ICT competence
Proactive approach and to be able to stay calm and work well under pressure
Flexible and enthusiastic approach to work
