Are you a Qualified Accountant and seeking the ability to progress into a Partner role over the next few years?

The Employer and Opportunity:

With low staff turnover and having doubled in size the last 5 years due to local reputations and 'word of mouth’, this Chartered Practice in Preston are looking for a qualified and experienced Senior Accounts Manager to join their team to support the Partners, mentor and oversee juniors and manage their own SME and client portfolio. As Client Manager, you will be working for a fully cloud based firm, who are developing to diversify various arms of the business this year. This is somewhere people love to go to work and to train to become Chartered; you will have the opportunity to manage your own small team of trainees, nurture your own client portfolio and progress into an exciting Partner role following an upcoming retirement and shadowing.

The Duties:

As Senior Accounts Manager, you will be involved in managing your own personal portfolio of circa £150k in fees, with duties to include preparing of management and statutory accounts, preparing of personal tax computations, self-assessment tax return, corporation tax returns. You will be fully client facing, therefore working from the office will be an important factor in this role to oversee and mentor juniors as well as the ability to meet regularly with clients and Partners. However, the option to work from home as an office/home blend is something fully available in this role as it progresses.

The Requirements:

You will be Qualified ACA or ACCA with Post qualification experience also. You will currently be in a senior role within your firm, preparing accounts and reviewing the work of juniors, as well as ideally managing your own portfolio. If not currently managing your own portfolio, you will be more than ready to do so having qualified and bags of experience!

Whilst this could initially be a side step for some current Managers, this is an unmissable opportunity, for someone where Partnership opportunities aren’t available at their current firm for whatever reason, and working with some excellent colleagues.

What’s important to this client is a high calibre and confident character, with excellent personal skills, as well as a strong work ethic. Enjoying being part of a team as well as contributing to change is also something which this client will be seeking from this Senior Accounts Manager.
