Management of data associated with new Typhoon obsolescence cases. Ensure all cases are logged within the company tools and delivered to the Obsolescence Review Board (ORB) for sentencing.
Management of all internal and external customer communication relating to Typhoon Obsolescence. Ensuring all inputs are obtained and outputs are accurate and in accordance with process and procedure.
Work closely with Material Management, Procurement and Commercial departments to assess status of all customer procurements. Highlight any deficiencies to IOT lead.
Develop working relationships with Typhoon Integrated Product Team (IPT) and the Integrated Obsolescence Team (IOT) to obtain cooperation that ensures fulfilment of responsibilities.
Undertake quarterly sub-contractor stock audits utilising company process and procedure to ensure compliance. Work with sub-contractor to close open actions.
Identify opportunity to improve current process and procedures within the IOT function. Highlight deficiencies to IOT and Functional Lead and take an active role improving processes.
Degree qualified or equivalent experience and knowledge in an Engineering Discipline.
Good understanding of design and manufacturing.
Knowledge of international standards for Components and Obsolescence Management.
Familiarity with Electronic Component datasheets and specifications.
Understanding of critical electronic component parameters.
Ability to take ownership of a work package; planning and scheduling own workload and the work of others.
Confidence and ability to challenge/ respond to technical/process issues.
Ability to interact effectively with customers.
Demonstrated impact and/ or ability to influence at Senior Levels and either: demonstrated technical expertise within one particular discipline, or demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others.
