Learning Support Assistant- SLD- Severe Learning Needs

A large school for children with Severe Learning Difficulties, Autism (ASC/ ASD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) is looking for Learning Support Assistants to support their staff from September. Interviews are taking place remotely, immediately.
The school is an all through setting, taking children in from age 5 and nurturing them all the way through their school career until they leave at age 19. It is a special setting where community and well-being is at the heart of all they do. Keen to find people with a positive, can-do attitude, the school is willing to support with any relevant training required for the role.
Applications are encouraged from those with a background in care, residential care or supported living facilities. Also a vested interest in working within SEND in careers such as Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists and similar or those with experience in similar school settings.
£70-£82 per day
Long-term contracts for 1 year

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Clear DBS check
Experience of PECS, Makaton, Intensive Interaction, Rapid Prompting Method and other relevant augmentative and alternative communication approaches are advantageous but not essentialResponsibilities
Be aware of, and remain responsible for all safeguarding of pupils within your care
Work collaboratively with both teaching and support staff to ensure best outcomes for students

All quoted rates are inclusive of % holiday pay.
