Our client has a new and exciting opportunity to join their Development team in the role of Delivery Manager.
About the role:
Reporting to the Head of Delivery & Sales and working alongside 2 other Delivery Managers and the Development and Sales team, this role will project manage their affordable homes programme, delivering Shared Ownership and Affordable Rent properties on mixed tenure developments across the North East.
In this key role you will be responsible for the on-site contract management, construction and delivery of a number of sites, from contract award to the end of defects period. This will require you to build strong and trusted relationships with key stakeholders, working collaboratively with internal teams, solicitors, contractors & consultants.
You will attend meetings on site, monitor & report to senior management on the build progress, manage and validate all scheme budgets, plan and perform snagging and handovers and ensure a first-class customer aftercare experience. You will demonstrate excellent knowledge within the client side delivery field, seeking out ways to improve schemes, mitigate any issues and deliver quality sites in line with all planning permissions.
What our client are looking for:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a sound understanding and experience of the new build development process, including the construction/development contract structures. With a proven ability to effectively manage development schemes, the successful candidate will be able to analyse trends, accurately forecast cash flows, as well as robustly challenge contractors to ensure value for money whilst demonstrating strong commercial acumen.
The candidate will need to have excellent written skills, the ability to clearly articulate scheme performance through monthly committee papers and be experienced in using project appraisal and cashflow software such as ProVal, Sequel or similar.
