Are you a Registered Nurse looking to move your career forward? If so, join the team at Farmfield Hospital as a Night Nurse Coordinator and be a valued member of the team.
Working hours a week between 7pm - 7:30am, you will join the multidisciplinary team at Farmfield Hospital, which is a large purpose-built medium-secure service with good facilities. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will provide care and support for adult men 18+ with a forensic background and enduring mental health illnesses such as personality disorder, substance misuse issues and behaviours that challenge.
As a Night Nurse Coordinator, you will manage and direct the delivery of clinical services during the nights. This will see ensuring services comply with regulations and quality standards, supporting the team on the wards and promoting and empowering quality care.
You will be responsible for overseeing observation levels and sheets, ensuring the paperwork is signed dated and correctly and daily Journals Ward Reports are completed and taken to reception for Ward Managers.
Reporting to the Clinical Service Manager, you will be a valued member of the team, where you will be supported to reach your career goals. You will have access to a variety of training course, this is more than a job for now, it's a job for life.
Audit DLM/CD books weekly.
Audit medication charts to ensure they have been completed correctly.
To undertake the key count and to sign as per procedure at the beginning of the evening shift
To obtain a full handover from the day coordinator at the beginning of the shift and to hand it over to the following day coordinator
To closely manage staff allocation, redeployments and daily numbers on the ward and additional use of premium rate staff to ensure the budget is tightly controlled and effectively managed
To ensure that all shifts are covered throughout the hospital for the following day and to contact the on-call manager if authorisation is required for agency staff
Overseeing acute admissions out of that you will have
Registered NMC Nurse with RMN/RNLD Qualification
Relevant Clinical Experience in a similar environment
Proven track record of leadership skills
First level nurse with evidence of professional development, relevant skills and knowledge
Awareness of the wider Healthcare economy and political you will get
Annual salary of £43,000 ( hours per week)
