Mechanical Design Engineer required to join our client in Leicestershire.
Due to ongoing growth and an influx of new projects we are looking for an Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client. You will be joining a small Research & Development team where you will work on the full life-cycle of design and development.
You will be joining a smaller sized business with over 30 staff and will contribute to the development of new products to add to their portfolio. Working for a company of this size will give you the best of both worlds, stability, and career development without the common drawbacks with larger corporations that include being pigeon-holed into once specific discipline.

What is the role?
As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be joining a successful and established Research & Development team where you will work alongside two other Mechanical Design Engineers an Electronics Engineer & an Engineering Manager.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for taking a product from the conceptual phase all the way through the various design and development stages onto a deliverable product. As you will be joining a small business you will also support production engineering with a somewhat “hands on” approach.
What are we looking for?
To be considered for the Mechanical Design Engineer, we are looking for:
Proven experience within mechanical design, research & development as well as an appreciation for production.
Experience of creating 2D and 3D drawings – ideally using SolidWorks.
Understanding of Geometric, Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T)
Appreciation of Electrical/Electronics is highly desirable
