We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and committed Support Worker to provide housing related support to homeless individualsliving within our temporary accomodation in Chelmsley Wood/ Solihull area.
The post is based at our Ipswich Walk accommodation project offering tenancy related support to homeless individuals.
The essence of the Support Worker role is to provide person centred support to our clients to assist them with appointments, finding permanent accomadationand to deliver a great service that engages them in working towards thierpositive future.
The clients that we work with have a diverse range of support needs therefore it is an essential element of our role as a Support Worker that you have experience and relevant knowledge of the needs of vulnerable peopleand how these needs can be residents will be assisted with support plans and assisted to move on within 8 weeks
We need someone who is confident to work within a small team as well as being a lone worker. You will be proficient in using Microsoft Office packages and maintaining accurate written records.
The successful Support Worker is required to take responsibility for completing all essential support tasks as a key worker whilst maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality.
No two days are the same in this role which is what makes it so enjoyable. Please read through the job description for more information.
The successful Support Worker will be expected to work on a 4 week rolling rota which will include weekends and bank holidays. You will be expected to complete sleep-in shifts where an additional allowance of £75 is paid. You will also need to have a full Driving Licence and access to a car.
This a full time 35 hours per week contract for £18,837 per annum.
Essential: As you will be travelling to escort clients for viewings to move-on accommodation, it is essential you have a full UK Driving License and the use of a car.
