Chidrens Residential Support Worker
£16000 - £17000 per annum
We are one of the UKs largest providers of social care, we specialise in supporting children to live a full and meaningful life. We are looking for passionate individualsto join our fantastic service and team, to support our childrens and education services.
We are home to incredible young people, our role is to help develop them emotionally, socially and educate them. We are enthusiastic about making a positive impacton the young people that stay with us, some of them may have trouble with their emotions, come from a challenging background or have complex needs like autism or ADHD.
You will be responsible for helping look after the children in our care, we work with each child to provide them with a individual and specific goals, whether that be education, care plans or helping them transition back into the world. A huge part of youll do is be a friend to them, someone that listens and genuinely cares, youll get involved with activities like taking them out to the shops, maybe its swimming lessons or just getting them out and about having fun.
Youll build strong relationshipswith the children which will put you in the position to help them deal with external agencies like social services, their families and other services that provide support. Of course youll be a strong team player and set a good example the best leaders always do!
As much as youll help us look after our residents, well look after you. We have a generous benefitspackage available to all of our staff and were actively looking to develop people. If you want to achieve NVQ qualifications well be more than happy to help you, were always looking to promote internally as well!
What we need from you:

- Strong communication skills
- The ability to be a great role model!
- Driver (preferable but not essential)
Shifts, salary, benefits:
169 hours a month
Shifts 16 hours with two 24 hours a week (16+ 8 hour sleepins) 1 on/ 2 off
- Occasional weekend shifts there are also sleeping nights
- Shifts: Flexible
