Our Client in Slough is looking for an Import and Export Coordinator to join their team in Weybridge.

This company is a global service provider whos head office is based in Seoul, South Korea. Since its inception in 1977, this company has evolved from an air freight agent to include total logistics services including sea freight, air freight, road and rail freight, warehousing, logistics consulting, international express, project cargo, terminal service and customs clearance.

Primary Objectives of the Role:

To provide our customers with an efficient transport service and ensure the service

is up to satisfaction in order to maximise profit.

Key Responsibilities

* EXPORT.

- Managing all distribution & warehouse related matters are carried out in accordance with the export procedures

- Investigating and planning appropriate route for a shipment

- Taking account of the perishable or hazardous nature of the goods, cost, transit time and security

- Negotiating contracts, transportation and handling costs

- Arranging shipping schedule and collection

* IMPORT.

-Liaison with overseas partners as and when required

- Managing all distribution & warehouse related matters are carried out in accordance with the import procedures

- Arranging for customs clearance

- Negotiating contracts, transportation and handling costs

- Arranging trucking service in the UK.

- Arranging insurance and assisting the client in the event of a claim

* SUPPORTING ROLE;

- Prompt and efficient answering of telephones, own calls, and unanswered calls for other team members

- Customer Liaison

- Completing customer delivery requirements

- Completing customer invoicing were required

- Completing various operational reporting

- Completing various systems issues were required

- Scanning and photocopying of documents

- Assisting other coordinators to ensure customers are fully handled correctly

- To be familiar with the corporate ISO/Quality procedures, specifically the customer specific process’s

- Effective liaison with other departments

- Ensure all queries are acted upon immediately and where necessary escalated to senior staff

Key Skills

- Strong communication skills for negotiation & reconciliation

- Excellent Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency required

- Teamwork, tact and good interpersonal skills

- Good geographical knowledge

- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances

- Problem solving ability, particularly when working under pressure

- Accuracy and attention to detail

This company is offering a salary of 24k per annum.

Hours (Apply online only)

Monday to Friday.
