BI Developer Financial Planning & Analysis Solutions

Opportunity to join a largescale, wellknown European Group organisation as a Business Intelligence Developer, supporting businesses across the group with the development of Financial Planning & Analysis solutions, utilising bestinclass cloud solutions (Adaptive Insights).

This is a high impact position, delivering significant improvement and efficiencies to the way group businesses plan, budget and forecast; improving planning and decision making. You will have endtoend project involvement, through the full lifecycle including analysis/requirements, design, development, implementation & support.
Projects will vary, supporting a range of business functions, delivering business planning solutions that integrate data from source systems and using this to create financial, operational and strategic models.

The is a rare opportunity, providing the responsibilities and variety of projects you would expect in a consultancy position, whilst maintaining the work/life balance of working for an enduser organisation!

Required experience:

  • A strong understanding of Financial / Business Planning processes and best practices
  • Strong, demonstrable experience of supporting business planning, with full endtoend project experience including analysis/requirements, design, development, implementation & support.
  • Experience and understanding of Financial Planning and Analysis software solutions. Ideally Adaptive Insights, however any other product/experience would be beneficial. i.e. Workiva, Axiom, Oracle, Anaplan, Host Analytics, Tagetik, Board International, OneStream, SAP, Prophix, Longview, Kepion, Vena, Jedox etc
  • OR, experience of developing advanced Financial/Commercial models in MS Excel
  • Experience of data visualisation/presentation solutions beneficial (nonessential). i.e. PowerBI, Tableau etc
  • SQL skills beneficial (nonessential)
  • A strong business acumen, ideally with business experience/exposure across a range of functions. i.e. HR, Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills

This position would suit any candidate with the above listed experience, however it should be noted that this organisation are very willing to upskill professionals with strong finance backgrounds and MS Excel modelling experience, who are driven to progress into solutions consulting.

Paying up to £50,000 per annum + corporate benefits.
Some travel (not extensive) involved.
