Non Functional Test Analyst - Manchester
My client, a legal Insurance services company in Manchester is looking for a Non Functional Test Analyst to carry out interactive, produce test plans, execute test plans, execute tests and ensure that the stability and performance of systems delivered is to the expected standard. Working in collaboration with the IT departments, business leads and end-users, to understand and deliver successful business solutions.
The company are the leading providers of legal and handling services to the UK general insurance sector. Currently they provide specialist services to 12 of the UK's 20 largest motor insurers in areas such as counter fraud, costs, credit hire, defendant services, large & complex injury and recoveries.
Collaboratively work with PMO, IT and internal stakeholders to define project non functional testing needs, resource planning and desired outcomes, ensuring requirements are documented in a structured and auditable manner.
Work closely with other teams in the IT department, project managers and business analysts.
Responsible for planning project testing phases, including: writing and executing test plans, writing and executing test scripts, running manual and automated tests, and reviewing documentation.
Responsible for the testing and QA of new and modified systems, including stress testing, performance testing, functional testing and usability testing.
Provide advice on and expertise in testing tools, harnesses and approaches
To work on multiple projects at one time, usually a combination of one large project and a number of smaller BAU modifications.
Provide objective, documented feedback to software development and project teams.
Communicate findings to technical and non-technical colleagues.
Ensure IT and PMO values and working practices, specifically planning, communication, implementation and delivery, are followed and supported.
Develop with IT and the business, recommendations on alternative approaches.
Maintain an understanding of non functional, performance, stress and security testing approaches.
Proven work experience as a Non Functional Test Analyst or similar role
Experience writing and executing test plans, writing and executing test scripts, running manual and automated tests, and reviewing documentation.
Solid organisational skills, including multitasking and time-management
Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
High level of attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines
