Associate Director - Planning

£50,000 - £55,000


Our client is a leading Planning and Development consultancy that operate throughout the whole of the UK. They have a significant sustained workload of EIA planning projects to fulfil and also a strategic aim to grow their local planning team from their Sheffield office.

  • Their work areas cover all areas of planning and their technical teams supply services into planning houses and major housebuilding and commercial clients nationally. Their planning work is generally won independently and they have a particularly strong presence in Energy and Waste.

  • They are now actively looking to bring in an Associate Director to act as a second in command on planning to the Planning lead. If based in Sheffield or Manchester then you would be expected to grow a team locally from that base.

  • The successful candidate will aim to grow the business and manage a team of consultants. You will oversee a diverse portfolio of projects, dealing with clients and local planning authorities directly to take developments through the planning process, including through the appeals process. Your team will also be involved with appraising sites to assessing the prospects of securing planning permission and promoting sites through the Local Plan Process.

  • As an Associate Director, there will be an element of business development and you must have good planning stage project management skills and experience of working with other disciplines involved in the planning process. You must have a strong understanding of development management procedures and working with local planning authorities and ideally have 10+ years of Planning experience.
