NetCare Agency has just acquired a contract to supply a new client with Support Workers in Salisbury and Southampton, to work with service users who are challenged with substance misuse and other challenges.

What are your responsibilities as a Support Worker?
Supporting someone isn’t just about providing personal care, it’s much more than that. As a Support Worker you could be supporting individuals with attending social events, assisting with the weekly shopping; helping to administer the right medication; a trip to the local park and so much more.
As a Support Worker you will be focused on active listening, meaningful engagement and ensuring that individuals lead full, healthy and active lives.
You will be establishing and maintaining professional relationships; supporting the delivery of rehabilitative care to individuals so they can successfully transition into more independent living.
Applicants will need to exhibit the following personal skills and experience:
Must have a minimum of 12 months experience working with service users with complex care needs (Mental Health, Neuro, Sensory impairments, Challenging behaviour, physical difficulties etc)
Must have PRACTICAL Moving and Handling training in the last 12 months (updated training can be online due to current restrictions
Confidence and ability to manage complex risk.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
A positive “can do” attitude and a team player
Knowledge of legislation relevant to Mental Health care as well as child and adult protection policies and procedures.
A level 3 qualification in health and social care is a plus, but not essential.
A pronounced quality of resourcefulness to be able to adapt, sometimes to the inevitable change of circumstances.
