Assistant Operations Manager
£26000 to £30000 per annum
My client is an SIA Approved Contractor for Keyholding and Security Guarding and is seeking to recruit a permanent, full time Assistant Security Manager in the field of mobile security services. The company is an SME dedicated mobile security company, (not a guarding company made up of two departments).They have in excess of 450 customers with a service coverage area of between Guildford and Twickenham and Ascot to Reigate which ensures a rapid response either by their on duty mobile security drivers or on call duty manager. The post is suitable for a competent and capable Security Supervisor or a current Assistant Security Managers who have received training and experience associated with the standard level of tasks for their role. In addition the applicant should have sound knowledge of mobile security services such as keyholding, alarm response, building unlocks/locks and alarm response. The office hours generally would be 07.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday, with the role holder included in the Duty Manager roster for nights and weekends. The role holder reports to the Operations Manager
Key duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:- Contract Management duties including compliance of related British Standards Experience with maintaining a Quality Management System Either adjusting, creating or implementing new systems or procedures to enhance service delivery Scheduling including management of short notice cover and holiday absence Working with and managing service partners Working closely with Security Managers New sales meetings and setting up of services Experience with conducting Health & Safety risk assessments or method statements Capable to cover shifts where necessary and conduct out of hours quality inspections Will be part of an on call out of hours duty management roster
Applicants will have the following personal attributes and skills: - Strong leadership and motivational skills Excellent written and oral communication with the ability to communicate at all levels Team player as well as able to work alone and under pressure Must have a flexible and adaptable approach to working hours and on call management roster High level of IT proficiency and experience with Android and Ipad devices High level of knowledge of intruder and fire alarm systems The successful applicant will be working from their offices in Hersham, Surrey and must therefore live ideally within 15/20 miles. The role will require the successful applicant to have a minimum 1 years in either a Security Supervisory post or as an Assistant Security Manager and possess a full UK driving licence and an in-date and active SG, DS or CP SIA licence
Salary between £26k-£30k, SIA license renewal fee, contributory pension scheme, approved training courses, business mileage, 28 days annual holiday etc
