Home based – travel required to Birmingham site. Full time 37.5hrs per week Monday-Friday between 08.00 – 18.00. Salary £34k per annum

The Contractor Manager is responsible for managing a Contactor workforce for Capita PIP, providing efficiency management to in excess of 75 Contractor Disability Assessors (CDAs).

In this role, the Contractor Manager will be required maximise the utilisation of the CDAs in line with wider business demands whilst delivering all customer and internal service levels. The Contract Manager will be responsible for working closely with the Resource and Planning Team to ensure all work assigned is dynamically reviewed and that the CDA output is monitored against schedules. The Contract Manager will ensure that all CDAs within their team are fully compliant with the terms detailed in the Contractor service agreement through close monitoring of their performance against this.

It is anticipated the TM will spend 80% of their time managing the efficiency of the CDAs through strategic forecasting and deployment, with 20% of their time being spent ensuring adherence to the service agreement, Capita processes, CPD, OMT including reviewing the accuracy of the contractor database. These percentage may change depending on business need and priorities.

  • Additional Information

  • Work closely with the R&P and performance management team to identify the resource requirements across LOT 2 and LOT4 to effectively deploy the resource requirements

  • To ensure CDAs upload their availability into Capita systems timely and fulfil their commitment using the MI available

  • Through effective use of management information identify quality or performance issues understanding their importance and the impact they have on the PIP contract KPIs to deliver remedial action with the support of the RCM

  • To liaise with Regional Clinical Leads regarding the quality performance of CDAs and develop a strategy for quality improvement

  • To liaise with field TMs ensuring efficient and effective deployment of CDAs without compromise to permanent staff

  • To ensure CDAs complete, and remain compliant with, all Mandatory Training and complete Training Modules to ensure their knowledge of how to undertake assessments remains current

  • Detailed knowledge of the terms of the contractor service agreement, ensure CDAs provide the services outlined in the agreement in a professional and diligent manner.

  • Maintain appropriate communication channels

  • Identify CDAs when they are in breach of the terms of their service agreement and take appropriate action

  • Support the RCM to ensure smooth transition of any change that occurs through internal and customer driven change. Impact assess to support the roll out of the change into the operation.

  • The contractor database must be accurate and up to date, action regular audits to ensure compliance.

  • To ensure CDAs provide evidence of personal indemnity and public liability insurance at the required levels and evidence of validation on an annual basis

  • To ensure CDAs complete, and remain compliant with, all Mandatory Training

  • To ensure CDAs undertake the required number of assessments to maintain their accreditation

  • To notify the RCM potential issues preventing CDAs receiving timely and accurate remuneration for work undertaken

  • To ensure all Capita assets provided to CDAs are accounted for at all time and securing their return to Capita control as required.

  • Engage with New CDAs throughout their training, ensure their understanding of the contractor role.
