Operations AdministratorAbercorn Sinclair is supporting one of their scientific clients. Based near Penicuik, they are located just to the south of Edinburgh.Due to continued growth for this early stage company, they are now looking to add administrative support to the team.The role:You will support the executive team (CEO, Director of Operations and Director of Science) in the day-to-day administration of the company.Required experience:Experience in office administration, clerical work, human resources, facilities management or as a personal assistantExceptional attention to detailExcellent communication skills, in writing, in person and over the phoneBe highly organisedA proactive attitudeCompetency using Microsoft office, Word, Excel etc. and Windows 10Role responsibilities:Invoice processing and bookkeepingOrdering of scientific supplies (reagents, plasticware, etc) and office suppliesOrganising travelOrganising meetings (booking rooms, arranging refreshments, coordinating external attendees)Minute-taking (including at board level meetings)Human resources administrationGeneral office administration (filing, document scanning, answering phone calls, etc.)Ad hoc support for the executive team and other senior members of staffThe ideal candidate will be educated to national higher level or equivalent in a STEM subject and ideally, have some experience working within a scientific environment.The position is full-time.
