My client is a large organisation who are looking to for a bright and energeticIT Support Technician to join the team on a full time basis. This is a busy service desk, so excellent customer service and remote support experience is essential.

? Meet all expected deadlines
? Work with the helpdesk system to provide 1st line support
? Investigate, diagnose and resolve problems via phone, e-mail or in person
? To help and support in the ad-hoc day to day tasks related to helpdesk support of the group
? Ensure IT users have the correct IT equipment and appropriately approved access
? Support ongoing IT projects
? Work within a team towards team goals
? Input in to ongoing problem resolution and delivery of improved services
? Carrying out preventative maintenance across the company sites
? Highlight ongoing issues, progress and improvements to the Head of IT during regular update meetings
? On occasion you may need to visit the Regional Office locations in order to perform tasks and resolve any ongoing issues.
? On a day to day basis you may be called upon to help colleagues with more basic IT skills; particularly in Microsoft Office. This will mean you'll need to share your own knowledge with other colleagues within the company.

? Feedback solicited from the other IT staff
? Feedback solicited from the wider business + Regular performance reviews
? Up to 1 year of 1st line IT Service Desk in a busy helpdesk environment
? Previous experience of helping computer users either on the phone, via email or in person
? 5 GCSE's or equivalent at grades A-C in Maths, English & Science
? Ideally A Level or higher in IT related discipline
? A Valid & Full UK Driving licence - Due to the nature of this position it will be necessary for you to travel to a number of different sites and offices throughout the Group; therefore, a clean full UK driving license is required.
? Exposure to Microsoft Windows 7,8 & 10
? Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and ideally Microsoft 365 & Exchange Online
? Exposure to Active Directory and asset management
? LAN/WAN and general networking principles
? Hardware/Software troubleshooting
? Professional behaviour at all times
? Good customer service and communication skills
? Good time management skills
? Good team player
? Excellent organisational skills
? Demonstrable interest in IT
? Self-learner and able to work from own initiative
