Ward Manager


£42000 per annum

Permanent (Full time)

An amazing opportunity as arisen for a committed Ward Manager to work with one of UK's leading healthcare providers. As a Ward Manager you will be working within County Durham.

This specialist hospital provides evidence-based inpatient treatment for adults with mental health difficulties, who present with complex needs and behaviours that challenge. The hospital’s specialist treatments programmes are personalised, developed within the recovery model, and are delivered in a safe and compassionate environment.

As a Ward Manager your day to day duties include:

  • Planning and co-ordinating the quality and management of nursing care, patient care and the clinical environment
  • Rota management
  • Quality improvement objectives
  • Participating fully with the multidisciplinary team and level 2 on-call rota requirements
  • Undertaking direct patient care where necessary
  • Ensuring the ward complies with statutory regulations, current legislation and meets quality
  • Responsible for efficient and effective use of nursing resources
