Are you an Occupational Therapy Assistant looking to work for a company that supports, values and recognises your dedication to delivering great healthcare? If so, this might be for you.

You will be working at Sturt House, a recovery-focused, rehabilitation unit providing specialist mental health treatment for males aged 18 and over. Working as part of a team, you will provide individualised care and treatment utilising the least restrictive practice principles and safe practice to support service users in their recovery.

Working under the guidance and direction of an Occupational Therapist, you will support and assist in the delivery of occupational therapy services, including the assessment, monitoring, evaluation and modification of one-to-one and group therapeutic interventions and programs within the hospital environment and local community.

You will be responsible for devising and managing a balanced therapy timetable to support interventions, this will see you create a one-to-one rapport as you promote, encourage and empower service users to improve their independence and build a brighter future.

To support service users achieve their identified goals, you will be heavily involved in developing social and recreational activities, this includes creating effective therapeutic relationships and daily living activities to support them as they work towards returning back into the community.

To be successful as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you'll need:

GCSE/O-Levels (A-C) or a relevant NVQ2
Previous experience gained within a relevant healthcare environment
To have the ability to work with and engage service users in a range of activities.
An interest and/or experience in recreational and vocational activities, such as music, art, sports, education and cooking would be advantageous but is not essential.
Full and clean UK driving licenceWhat you will get:
