Job Summary

We are recruiting Live in Care health care assistants for our large Care provider client within the Caldicot region. Our client has numerous Care Homes and operates domiciliary care throughout the UK and are currently recruiting for positions within the area surrounding Caldicot. A successful candidate will be patient and caring and able to provide a quality service to clients within their homes whilst enabling them to lead an active and independent life. This role would suit experienced care workers who live within the area, but a successful candidate must be willing to travel up to three hours. All training is provided for this role.

Job Role

Our health care assistants will be involved in:-

Companionship - sharing conversation and spending time together
Personal care - assisting with bathing, dressing and, when necessary, continence support
Helping with mobility - some customers need assistance getting around the home
Overseeing medication - all according to the customer's care plan
Household chores - help around the home, such as vacuuming or washing clothes
Preparing and cooking meals
Running errands - assisting with tasks such as shopping or picking up prescriptions
Other medical support - extra training is provided for more complex support needs as well as first aid training

Education, Skills and qualifications

A successful candidate must:-

Have previous experience in a Care Role although training will be offered
Have excellent organisational skills and work well on your own initiative
Be self-motivated and flexible
Be caring, patient and compassionate
Have excellent communication skills with a good standard of written and verbal English
Be passionate about providing a high standard of care and have the ability to provide emotional support whilst promoting dignity and respect
Have an excellent attendance and punctuality record
