Are you as fit as a fiddle? Or just up for trying?
We are looking for a handful of volunteers to come along and support our fundraising Zumbathon on Wednesday 19th June in Manchester between 9-3pm.
Your role will involve you taking part in the Zumbathon - for as little or as long as you like - all the while motivating and encouraging people with a learning disability to take part. This might involve verbal motivation, such as telling them 'you can do it!' and checking they are okay. You will also remind them to drink plenty of fluids as they exercise, to stop if they need to and above all, have fun!
You will have the full support of our Lifestyles and Work team, who will also be taking part in the Zumbathon, and a Lead Coordinator to direct you to where you need to be and what you need to do. There will be four 45 minute sessions - you can come along for one, two or all four!
Oh, and did we mention the Zumbathon will be hosted by none other than 90s legend, Jet from TV's "Gladiators"?! Vintage or what?!
You are welcome to help us raise money for the event by asking friends and family for sponsorship. Equally, if you'd rather just take part as a volunteer, that is welcome too.
