About the Role
The Business Systems team are responsible for evaluating new and emerging technologies, delivering technical projects/solutions and maintaining server and application stacks supporting the NBS and NSSL client base. NBS has a large number of point solutions and in-house developed systems which are supported operationally on a 24/7 basis to meet demanding SLAs.
The Business Systems Technician role is particularly varied. Our Systems Technician is a primary contact, supporting multiple systems ensuring business processes and tasks are completed in line with business projects and strategic goals. The role will play an integral part in securing the business systems and contributing to the continuous improvement of our systems, whilst communicating with other teams to ensure compliance. As Business Systems Technician you will efficiently deal with incidents and deliver on various projects (migration, upgrades, security, etc).
We have a significant number of exciting and challenging ICT projects to deliver this year and we are looking for a talented and driven individual to join and make a real difference to the Business Systems team.
You will have successful track record of working in a dynamic and collaborative enterprise ICT team, supporting customer critical application stacks and delivering change to demanding timescales. You have good understanding of change and risk management within a complex operational environment. You will also have a desire to learn and rise to challenges.
You will be a confident communicator who can dynamically manage your own workload with strong analytical/problem solving skills and the ability to work at pace, making clear decisions with a structured and organised approach.
You should also possess skills or knowledge in the following areas:
- Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server, MS SCCM
- Patch Management
- Documentation and Audit processes
