Gi Group Scarborough are looking for a Coordinator to join a well-established engineering business in the Scarborough area.
Working in one of their key departments reporting into the Operations Manager, you could be scheduling all service-based jobs for the engineers within your area and looking at all planned jobs as well as reacting to the calls that come in for urgent maintenance work.
Your duties as a coordinator will include and will not be limited to dealing with warranty claims for products, as well as contract repairs whilst keeping the customer updated of their progress at all times and working with the project managers on their jobs as well as other key departments within the business.
You will be responsible for forecasting and contract scheduling of all planned and reactive service works, control of documentation to support the delivery of the contract visits such as Engineer permits, authorisations, inductions and RAMS etc.
You will also review and close of all customer queries, including billing and Purchase Order amendments or uplifts. Ensure job costing and billing is controlled to meet customer objectives. Management and control of work in progress.
Ideal candidates will have worked in a similar project /logistics / coordination / installations-based position from within an engineering / manufacturing environment or similar.
Excellent planning and organisational skills are essential and you must be computer literate. You need to be able to communicate at all levels and have good customer service skills You must be able to work on your own initiative and manage multiple jobs at any one time.

A flexible approach to working hours is required and it is mandatory to join our 24 hour call out rota.
We would prefer applicants to have a solid understanding of either UPS systems or diesel generators, good negotiation and influencing skills.
You must be able to work efficiently and effectively with other areas or departments to fulfil overall company objectives. Successful candidates will Maximise engineers efficiencies and ensure customer's requirements are met at all times.
You will contribute to the achievement of department and business KPI objectives.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Thursday - and Fridays - ( working from home available at the moment until restrictions ease).
