The Role of a Planning & Reporting Analyst

You will be a technical expert for all settlement activity relating to the sale and purchase of Energy at EDF. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely settlement of industry costs. You’ll be continually assessing risk and materiality to develop a control environment that optimises the level of assurance and resource within the settlement activity. In addition, you will have ownership of the completeness and accuracy of settlements data used across one of our biggest business units and for the regulatory reporting within the team.

 

You will be an experience stakeholder manager, as we will be expecting any proposed industry changes are understood from a legal, regulatory, policy and cost perspective by the business. You will provide technical expertise, partnering the business as subject matter expert for the development of new channels or products and will also be required to ensure all risks are assessed, recorded, and managed through the appropriate internal control frameworks.

 

The Individual

You will act as the interface between the Energy industry and the business to ensure all industry proposals and changes are properly interpreted, understood, and implemented. You will be expected to gain an understanding and maintain awareness of market changes to ensure EDF always remains compliant with industry regulations. You will also be developing and maintaining strong inter-business unit relationships and within the external environment.

 

Skills & Experience:
The key point of contact for Settlements matters across EDF
Supporting the overall delivery of the validation and settlement of industry costs
Owning and understanding the consequences of not meeting contractual terms
Leading the translation of industry changes
Supporting the application, alignment, and development of the controls landscape for settlement activities
Supporting the delivery of reporting and industry code/license compliance
Developing strong working relationships
Leading a Continuous Improvement culture influencing operational efficiency and effectiveness
Building a culture of ownership and responsibility within the team
Supporting the training and development activities for offshore operations
Developing and maintaining models and systems to support the team’s operational activity.
Managing collateral requirements
Managing the relationship with the teams that use all the data
Works very closely with the trading teams that use all their data on how much energy their customers use.
Work very closely with the change that’s happening and ensures the change is understood, communicated, captured, and shared with the teams.
