What makes a Fixed Term Contract appealing?

It’s not juicy day-rate and it’s not a hay-maker of a career move…

So why consider it?

One word: flexibility.

A good-fixed term contract gives you the option to try before you buy, and you can negotiate some good flex for you home-work dynamic because you’re saving the client an expensive day-rate.

We’re working with a large multi-site FMCG business in the Midlands. They’re looking for an experienced Category Marketing Manager to support them on a maternity cover 12m fixed term contract.

Good package on offer - up to £50,000, and the Head of Category and Shopper is open to someone working condensed hours for four days a week, or looking at 4 days pro-rata. There’s good flex too, with c2-3 days home-working possible at the managers discretion (this is not a home-based contract).

Premium product and exceptionally strong sales throughout 2020 and to date, combined with excellent retailer relationships and a fantastic people culture offer a strong platform to build on in the year you are there.

You’ll be working on some exciting projects with Tesco in highly innovative chilled categories, and will also get a view within one of the biggest food manufacturers in the Midlands. If you like it there, there’s a strong chance that other opportunities in the group may present themselves.
