Lead Electrical Engineer - Schiedam, Netherlands
I am currently working with a local Dutch firm who are looking to hire a Lead Electrical Engineer for various industrial projects.
More than 650 employees work in single and multidisciplinary project teams at this organisation.
As a Lead / Senior Engineer you work in a dynamic team consisting of experienced people and Junior Engineers. In your work you play an active role in the design of all occurring electrical installations for industrial projects. You are responsible for drafting specifications, vendor bid evaluations and selection of vendors, designing, etc.
Your activities include:
Manufacturing global designs so:
- the design meets the customer's specifications
- the design meets standards, etc., with which the designer (s) can further develop the installation
- calculations and material specifications have been made
Job requirements As a Lead / Senior Engineer Electrical you have at least 10 years of work experience in the electrical field. You work on your own project or within multidisciplinary teams that provide engineering for projects; from feasibility studies to detailed design. You manage Engineers and Designers and you keep a close eye on costs and planning.
You have an HBO diploma; towards Electrical Engineering. You have at least 5 years of experience in a comparable position, preferably gained at an organization of comparable size.
Keywords that are a requirement in your position: prepare BID and BEDEP documents, HS / MS / LS installations, cable / short-circuit / selectivity calculations, ATEX, FAT and SAT procedures. You are in possession of VCA VOL (or prepared to achieve / renew it in the short term) and you know NEN-EN 50110 / NEN 3140.
