As a Cloud Consultant you will lead clients throughout their Cloud adoption journey, establishing the imperative and strategy to migrate to the cloud. You will have experience creating business cases for cloud transformation, implementing migrations to cloud and in advising clients in a hybrid cloud environment. You will be able to converse with Cloud / DevOps engineers and with senior stakeholders within our clients.

As a Principal consultant you will be able to work independently and run teams on client engagements. You will be able to work with our Account Executives and our clients during pre-sales activities, supporting the definition of the approach and scope for a delivery and also owning the delivery of engagements to our clients.

Key tasks and responsibilities, including but not limited to

Leading our client delivery projects and being accountable for the creation and delivery of client deliverables; examples include:

  • Demonstrating your subject matter expertise in Cloud and infrastructure technologies;

  • Helping clients align their cloud strategy to their business strategy;

  • Creating business cases and enable clients to articulate the benefits of cloud adoption, including the merits of one cloud provider over another;

  • Advising clients on how to optimise their cloud investments;

  • Leading Cloud migrations;

  • Providing guidance to and supporting clients through the planning/delivery roadmap process and the implementation thereof;

  • Training and sharing our expertise with our clients, helping them to improve their internal capabilities throughout the course of our engagement;

Leading a team from Devoteam (and potentially client resources) through a project/engagement which could include:

  • Accountability for the success of the client engagement (governance, quality, timeframes, budget, resourcing etc.)

  • Deliverable creation, presentation and achieving client acceptance, alongside next phase discussions;

  • Creating a supportive environment for your junior colleagues to develop within;

Enabling the sales process, such as:

  • Identifying opportunities and providing subject matter expertise into the sales team;

  • Working collaboratively with the sales team to develop sales collateral (proposals/ statements of work/ resource profiles/ costs etc.);

Supporting the success of Devoteam

  • Creating thought leadership such as writing papers or blogs and presenting at events;

  • Keeping management and sales informed of progress, concerns, successes and opportunities with a client engagement;

Experience

We are looking for someone who has some, but not necessarily all of the following:

  • Demonstrable experience of guiding clients throughout their journey to cloud;

  • In-depth experience of working with AWS and/or GCP;

  • Considerable experience in a Consulting environment including leading client engagements;

  • Experience in developing business cases with clients and supporting them in the mobilisation of their transformation journey;

  • Experience in Cloud target operating models beneficial;

  • Certification in AWS and GCP preferable.
