Our client is a well-established Specialist School near Preston with a 'Outstanding' rating from their Ofsted report in 2018. Our Client is seeking a One to One Support for two non verbal pupils on a full-time basis from October 2021. This is a long-term supply job in the first instance however for the right person the school are currently recruiting permanently and would have the opportunity to apply for a permanent role.

The school is a specialist provision with a support network of on-site Educational Psychologist, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists base in school. The staff team are supportive of each other to ensure all children achieve their full potential.

The school are ultimately looking for the right person for the role ideally someone who has worked in a specialist setting however they will consider applicants who want to make a difference in a specialist setting which could be but not limited to sports, personal experience or care sector. You will need a qualification or experience supporting non verbal additional needs.

The successful applicant will:

* Implement an approach which aims to increase attendance and improve behaviour

* Have an understanding of meeting the needs of pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs

* Have the ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues, pupils and parents

* Be passionate about promoting engagement with learning activities, improving attendance and have a proactive and confident approach

All candidates working through us are required to hold an Update Service registered DBS and a minimum of Level 1 Safeguarding children (application/training links can be provided).
