Leap29 are representing an International Food Processing Engineering company, We are recruiting for a Key Account Manager for Processing in the UK who will be responsible for one of the largest accounts within the UK. For the right candidate my client will offer a flexible role with the ability to influence the strategic direction of the account in order to successfully deliver the high growth possibilities and ongoing relationship. Your main function is project and key equipment sales and likely to travel approximately 60 days/year.

  • Key Account Manager

  • The main tasks in this position:

  • • Sales of projects and key equipment to one customer with production sites throughout the UK • You will report to the International Key Account Manager Processing, with whom develop a key account plan to guide the business to maximise the opportunities and relationship • Together with the local team you will be responsible for the daily activities and agreed actions with the overall purpose to grow the customer business and maximize profitability whilst maintaining a high customer satisfaction • You will be responsible for the overall satisfaction and interaction with the customer through all parts of their business in the UK specifically engaging with Supply Chain, Production, Marketing, NPD and R&D • You will work closely together with our Engineering team in order to understand, create, communicate, deliver new sales opportunities • By close involvement with the customer you will be responsible for providing the local organisation with regular information on the market development, new potentials and new business opportunities • You will be responsible for effective opportunity management and accurate sales forecasting . Professional Skills and Experience:

  • HND/Degree or equivalent, preferably in an engineering or food related subject.

  • Required Experience

  • • Experience of selling equipment with installation and commissioning in a business to business environment, ideally in the dairy industry • Experience of cheese and dairy food technologies and industrial production • Knowledge of general Food Processing Techniques and Equipment

  • Required Skills / Behaviours

  • • Technical knowledge of the processing equipment and solutions • Excellent interpersonal skills • Excellent relationship building abilities • Good presentation skills • Good time management skills • Ability to develop and manage customer plans • Self-motivation • Diligence • Persistence

  • Travel

  • • Home or office based with support from head office (Depending on current location) • Regular customer site meetings • Travelling within the UK plus occasional travel to Sweden and other areas of Europe
