The Retail department run our tours, tastings, shops, and events. They're our Storytellers. They take our guests on a journey. As a Retail Assistant (Seasonal) you'll be in one of our brand new pop-up shops, showcasing our products to guests over the busy festive period.
What's in a day?
- Welcoming guests to the venue, and assisting with any enquiries or purchases.
- Hosting small group tastings (10-12 people) of our gin or whisky.
- Day-to-day running of the venue, to ensure it operates smoothly.
What sort of hours will I work?
Both full-time and part-time positions are available. If full-time you'll work 5 days out of 7 (around 40 hours a week). If part-time you'll normally work 2 days out of 7 (around 16 hours a week), but this is flexible. Weekends are among our busiest days, so availability on Saturday and Sunday is required. For legal reasons, you must be aged 18+ to work in this role.
What qualifications do I need?
None over a good basic education (fluency in English, normal arithmetic abilities, and normal ICT abilities) and a full driving licence. Multiple languages or experience in a previous visitor engagement or public-facing role would be a bonus. But more important is your confidence, ability to learn, and work ethic.
Who would it suit?
You'll be in the public eye and occasionally have to deal with customer difficulties, so the one thing you can't be is shy. However, if you like people and have a flair for communication and initiative, you'll make a great addition to the team.
What sort of salary can I expect?
You'll join at an equal rate to your colleagues, on £8.75p/h
