Want to launch a career in recruitment with a firm that encourages individuality and creativity? If so we have a fantastic opportunity where you can be a part of an academy of lively fellow graduate trainees and learn how to place the world’s best talent in all things engineering
What does a Recruiter do?
A recruiter is responsible for sourcing great talent for companies looking to hire great people. Each time you do this successfully you generate a fee for your company and turn you achieve commission. It's a meaningul role where you can impact people's lives and businesses while doing something that achieves a far higher level of income than most other roles. Why? Because it's a results based business. The better you are at your role the greater value you provide to your clients and in turn the more you earn. It's a brilliant career path for confident and ambitious people with a strong work ethic and involves a lot of time talking to and meeting with potential clients and candidates.
What is engineering?
Look around you; every building structure you see has been designed, built, maintained, bought, sold and refurbished in its life cycle and to make that happen requires the expertise of true experts. People like architects, project managers, design engineers, quantity surveyors estimators and so much more.
As a recruitment consultant that specialises in these fields, you will have access to the inner working of these companies and will have the exciting task of tracking down and attracting the best talent to help them shape the future for you!
What kind of training will I receive?
While the aim is for you the to be fully managing your candidates and clients you will have a lot of support in your early months while you master each phase of the recruitment process. This will cover how to generate meetings with potential clients, how to gain commitment to work with you on their vacancies, how to source great candidates, how to create compelling marketing content, how to make successful introductions, how to negotiate offers and more.
This will be supported by the intensive programme with peers and then going on and applying all the fantastic things you have learnt at work while having the support from a lively team around you.
What will I be doing every day after initial training?
While you will be coming into a bright, modern almost playful office (think games room, pool table ,TVs ,and games consoles) this is a business where deals are being made. While some consultants might be competing in the office indoor golf tournament the other guys are pacing up and down on the phones making placements. No two days are the same, and there’ll be no wishing for the weekend here!
Your main aim will be to promote jobs to potential candidates and present those candidates to companies seeking additional talent. Ultimately your work should lead to many successful placements.
On a daily basis you will be:
- Promoting jobs to potential candidates
- Presenting candidate profiles to your clients
- Arranging interviews
- Meeting clients to understand their next vacancies
- Interviewing and access new candidates that you meet
- Working hard to meet your personal and team targets
- Learning about your sector
- Developing skills to be independent
