Senior Bentley Microstation / AECOsim Technician

A Senior Bentley Microstation / AECOsim Technician is required to join a developing team within the Water & M&E Team. The candidate will be working closely with Mechanical & Electrical engineers to develop drawings for a variety of purposes such as Tender/Outline Design/Detailed Design. The Water & M&E team currently has a wide range of large projects including Water/Waste Water Treatment Plants, pumping stations, water pipelines, road tunnels, Building Services, as well as some other small scale projects. All of these projects are for reputable clients within the Water and M&E industry located in England, Scotland & Ireland. Depending on client requirements, the project requirements may be for a Revit model to be produced, or for AutoCAD 2D/3D plans to be produced. These models may include the detailing of: Water Treatment Plant Equipment Odour Control Aerations Systems Pipework (Ductile Iron/PVC/Stainless Steel and more) Structural Elements (Tender purposes only) MCC Cabinets & Electrical Control Systems Pumping Stations Building Services LV/HV Drainage (Pumped & Gravity) HVAC Fire Suppression Systems Way Finding Tunnel Signage Qualifications The candidate should either have a relevant Qualification which is CAD related or should be able to demonstrate significant experience (minimum of 5 years) working within the industry. The successful applicant will join the water and M&E team working for the Lead CAD within a developed small team environment involved in a wide ranging role which could include (project dependent) design, bid preparation, tender preparation and site asset surveys. The candidate will need to note that there may be a requirement on very rare occasions for some work out of the office environment on site, and as such, personal transport is considered a prerequisite, however company hire cars are available. The candidate will be required to liaison with site based engineers to communicate design changes so should have excellent communication skills. Reporting to the Lead CAD the successful applicant will be responsible for working within the Water & M&E team providing CAD support for projects and be adaptable to work within tight timescales and to tight budgets.
