Our Children's Home situated in Long Bennington is seeking a Residential Support Worker. As a Care Support Worker at our children's home in Long Bennington you will be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our young people. Through a warm, welcoming and relaxed approached with a structured environment, you will encourage young people to develop social, educational and practical skills to lead a fulfilling life set in beautiful surroundings. We care for up to 3 young people exhibiting Behavioural, Emotional, and Social Difficulties. The home is situated in a semi rural location so ability to drive will be essential. As a Residential Support Worker for our young people in the Long Bennington, Newark area you can expect a salary of up to £17,126.42 per annum. Plus £35 nightly sleep in and additional overtime rate. Hours Examples of shifts can include Single shift : 07:30 am -23:00 pm Double Shifts : 07:30 am -23:00 pm + sleep in 07:00 am -23:00 pm As a Support worker you will: * Be the young person's champion and as part of the wider team strive to ensure that they achieve their aspirations and full potential * Manage the well-being and behaviour of young people ensuring behaviour's are addressed promptly and sensitively * Support young people in daily activities including family contact, attending local clubs, 1:1 activities in the community, promoting independence and social behaviour Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification is desirable but not essential for this role (we can support with the training of this.) Previous experience of working with Young People who can exhibit challenging behaviours would be desirable, however if you have the right personality we will support you to gain and develop your experience.
