The Extended Enterprise Risk Management team assists in identifying, evaluating and mitigating risks associated with external business relationships. Your role
The Deloitte EERM Software Asset Management team is made up of experienced software and other IT practitioners, leveraging significant industry experience to assist clients around the world in managing the multi-layered complexity of SAM programs. We offer a variety of services, from focussed diagnostics and vendor baselines to full SAM implementations.

As a neutral third party, we aim to provide a truly objective perspective on monitoring and governing software assets. We offer a distinct approach that encompasses not just tools, but also people and processes — helping clients put the right skill sets, accountability and governance in place to effectively manage software assets throughout the entire lifecycle.

The right candidate would be expected to work in a team environment, with a focus on business development, delivery of projects and managing junior members of the team.

You will be expected to develop long-term client relationships, with the aim of growing Deloitte’s Software Asset Management practice.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Some programming on PowerShell, SQL Queries, Macro, VB-script, Batch, HTML and similar languages Implementing, and configuring (plus daily management of) SAM tool(s) like Flexera, Snow, Aspera, ServiceNow for SAM or similar industry leading SAM tools Software Asset Management, where you should have proven experience including, but not limited to: Vendor specific licensing knowledge especially Tableau, VMWare, RedHat, Open Source GNU, Telerik/Progress, Siemens. SAM governance and processes like joiners, movers and leavers (“JML”), request software, decommissioning and re-harvest, continuous service improvement, uninstallation, demand forecast, demand register, SAM risk register, SAM risk acceptance, etc. Identifying cost savings and optimisation opportunities for various software vendors. Cloud based application licensing and optimisation. Application rationalisation. Product Use Rights, demand management, license allowances, and contractual entitlements for software products and manufacturers. SAM baselines for various software vendors. Knowledge of software procurements, contract review and negotiation would be desirable. * Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

Your professional experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant SAM experience PowerShell, SQL Queries, Macro, VB-script, Batch, HTML and similar programming languages experience End to End Asset Management Life Cycle experience both in hardware and software. Software licence management and compliance reporting experience for  – Tableau, VMWare, RedHat, Open Source GNU, Telerik/Progress, Siemens; Audit or Industry SAM experience ITIL / COBIT / CSAM / PMP / PRICE2 certification will be added advantage Knowledge of computer hardware, networks and information security would be desirable. Should be familiar with terminologies like Active Directory, Proxy, DNS, RDP, disaster recovery, penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, ports, single sign-on, MFA, firewall, windows registry, hyper-threading, V-motion, App-sense, containerisation. Experience in any RPA tools e.g. UiPath, BluePrism would be desirable. Basic knowledge of Block-chain, chat-bots would be desirable.
