The Amazon Marketing team is utilizing marketing channels on- and offsite to grow our active customer base and drive engagement and shopping frequency of our existing customers.

The Amazon UK Marketing team is looking for a UK Customer Lifecycle Marketing Manager, to help drive an understanding of UK customer segments and behaviours, drive actions across marketing channels to support customer acquisition and engagement, and increase brand love. We are looking for bright people with strong project management and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and earn trust with cross-functional teams, and a strong bias for action and passion to do what is right for the customer.

The role requires experience in deriving insights from qualitative and quantitative customer data, articulating a strategic brief from it, creating an action plan based on identified needs and opportunities, and driving the plan into quantifiable results. To excel, the candidate must have strong analytical, communication, project management and influencing skills. Due to the size and scope of our business, the Customer Lifecycle Marketing Manager needs to be able to influence numerous teams and stakeholders ranging from business to creative to operational teams. This is a position, with ample scope for self-development and space to innovate, reporting directly into the UK Marketing Director, and based in London.

The Customer Lifecycle Marketing Manager will:
- Lead the portfolio view of performance across marketing channels for weekly & quarterly business reviews and lead tracking and communication of insights on brand perception, customer site visits, and broader trends in the retail sector in the UK
- Develop a deep understanding of UK & Ireland customer segments and behaviours per segment. Identify customer perceptions, customer needs and purchase barriers, in collaboration with our Market research teams, and help define which are specific of our locale vs common to EU/WW
- Contribute to Amazon EU portfolio management by setting the right priorities for our locales, and provide local feedback on media plans in partnership with our central media teams. Contribute to and review UK/IE mass advertising (TV, Radio etc) briefs with campaign managers teams, to ensure alignment with local customer and business needs. In addition, your unique role at the interface between business/retail and the mass advertising team will allow you to propose and/or support additional business opportunities within mass advertising
- Being the marketing advocate for our business expansion in Ireland, you will be responsible for understanding and delivering for our Irish customers; driving customer insights, ensuring parity across marketing channels and suitable budget allocation. Your role will be to champion a ‘UK and Ireland’ view where needed on marketing/ customer work streams.


7+ years experience. · Background in customer analytics and segmentation. · Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering or a similar field. · Proven analytical and quantitative skills with a passion and aptitude for analysis. · Excellent business judgment and an ability to think strategically and execute methodically. · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – written and verbal. · Demonstrated ability to work effectively across business teams to deliver business results, experience in project management across multiple teams in an organization. · Able to generate ideas and solve problems independently. · Strong bias for action and sense of urgency; the ability to make things happen quickly. A track record of teamwork and willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done. · English fluency.


Experience in managing marketing channels and marketing strategy (including digital marketing and mass advertising) is a plus
MBA/ Management consulting experience is a plus
SQL knowledge is a plus
