Learning Support Assistant
£55 - £65 per day
The Supply Register is starting to work with an Academy Trust in the Halewood, who are seeking a Learning Support Assistant starting as soon as possible till July 2019. The school is looking for an individual who can provide Pupil/Small groups of pupils with a 1:1 personal and inspirational mentoring.
The pupils may have behavioural difficulties and attachment disorder and they will require a successful candidate to work on a 1:1 basis. Prior experience working in SEN or as a Learning Support Assistant qualification are desirable but applicants with youth work or care background will also be considered. The needs of the pupils are broad and many children posses Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties.
The successful candidate would, therefore, need to have strong behaviour management skills and be able to implement our behaviour management policy at all times. Experience working with Behavioural difficulties would be highly desirable as this would help cater to the pupils requirements.

To be considered for the position of Learning Support Assistant :
- Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant is desirable
- Hold a Teaching Assistant Qualification, Degree, NVQ, Child Care or Equivalent Qualifications
- Able to demonstrate recent classroom experience and strong behaviour management skills
- Supervising work that has been set in accordance with school policy
- Commitment to supporting the 1:1 Pupil or Small groups of Pupils
