Vision for Education are currently recruiting for an Alternative Provision Teacher, for full-time positions in September, based within Manchester and Salford. It is essential that you have effective behaviour management skills and be passionate about working with young people, particularly those who have become disengaged.

The role

The Alternative Provision Teacher role requires someone who has the ability to teach multiple subjects at KS3 level, and also ideally at lower ability KS4 level. You will be working with small classes of students who have identified needs and EHCP’s, ideally combining a secondary-age focus with a primary-age nurturing ability.

The school
We have positions available for a good Alternative Provision Teacher, at a number of different sites within Manchester and Salford. The sites all consist of a Head of Centre, teaching staff, and support staff/mentors, and provide the ideal environment for young people who require an alternative educational setting to a mainstream secondary school.


Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for the Alternative Provision Teacher position are:

Have either QTS or QTLS
Strong behaviour management abilities
Either experience of, or a desire to work with SEMH children
Be willing to work in Manchester and Salford
