We are seeking an Associations, Events and Membership Relationship Manager for a well-established privately-owned business based in Lewes, East Sussex. Our Client has an exciting portfolio of conferences and exhibitions for a variety of membership organisations, predominantly in the healthcare sector and this position lends itself to someone with membership management/charity, not for profit industry/medical sector experience.

Due to the nature of an events & conference-based business, you will be required to travel to approximately 2 meetings per month and commit to overnight stays when required

The events take place all over the UK and come in all shapes and sizes, from roadshows for 100 delegates to prestigious national conferences for 2000 attendees. Services also include full Secretariat support to a number of national membership organisations, by where they administer members and committees around the country in some of the leading UK hospitals.

Essential Areas of expertise should include:

Membership organisation management and development
Committee management, Agenda setting, detailed and accurate minute-taking
Multiple client and stakeholder relationship management
Strategic marketing content creation, e-communication and social media strategies
Streamlining operating procedures, attention to detail, ability to prioritise large and complex workload
Microsoft Word for Data management, PowerPoint creation. Excel spreadsheet management and analysis
Web content system management (.: Wordpress)
Sales proposition creation, lead and income generation
Budget projection, financial management, reporting and analysis
Event delivery and financial reconciliation
Event programme development (.: development of online e-learning)

Desirable Areas of expertise should include:

CMS management (.: Campaign Monitor) and Event systems (.: Shocklogic)
Line management and training
Corporate sponsorship package development
Exhibition design, planning and operations

Role includes

Membership, secretariat and events management for two medical and scientific associations.
Main point of call for Officers, Members, Press and PR, support staff
Managing stakeholder relationships
Communications and marketing
Event management
Financial management and budget reporting
Liaising with charity commission and companies house
Developing strategic plans
Meeting TreasurersEssential skills

Minute taking, agenda setting
Website content management
Managing and prioritising complex workloads
Managing a team of support staff
Developing corporate partner packages

You will be working in a unique office environment, working Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm but this can be flexible and after a qualifying period you will be able to work 3 days in the Office and 2 days home based per week.

You will be required to travel to approximately 2 meetings per month and commit to overnight stays when required.

Although transport is preferred it is not essential.
